What are nuggets? Here’s how to use them to improve your writing. Reach and delight your target audience. Add value to the information you present on your blog.
You have a blog and you know what to write on your blog. Don’t stop there. Look for nuggets your audience will appreciate. Make it worth their while to stop by and engage on your website.
You may be surprised to find them in your immediate surroundings. A little digging with the right tools will help you to uncover them.
What Are Nuggets? | Accentuate Your Writing
Nuggets are things of great value which may not be apparent on the surface. Think about the parables of the men in the Gospel of Matthew 13:44-46 who found a treasure in a field and a pearl of great price.
Those were their nuggets of great value. One bought the whole field because of that particular treasure, the other bought the pearl. They looked at the fortune both finds could bring them. How does that relate to you?
You have invested in your vision, mission, or organization to appeal to a selected audience. They are relying on you to deliver something of value to meet a want, need, or desire.
The nuggets you find and add to your blog posts or other means of communication are beneficial both ways — they could be worth a fortune to you because of how they appeal to your audience.
Fortune is more than financial gain. If your vision is to see lives enriched spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially, improvement in even one area is an achievement.
Use nuggets to accentuate your writing. You have a platform or field with the pearl of great price.
Where to Find Pearls | They Are Everywhere
Start with your own story. What can you share that will help your audience solve their problem? You can also use other people’s stories.
What are some tools you have at your disposal or should add to your writing toolbox to give your audience a great experience when they find your website?
Online marketing is huge and is growing for shoppers and businesses. It’s busy, crowded, and extremely noisy. You must stand out and be visible. Your audience should be able to see your “open” sign.
When they start looking around, it shouldn’t take them long to see if they’re at the right place.
Research is the most important way to find nuggets or pearls. Know what you are looking for. Is it a story with a life-changing lesson? Is it an example of someone who underwent an adverse situation and came out triumphant?
I used the parables of the treasure and pearl of great price to show how you could find a gem for your writing by searching for it or stumbling across it.
You could use one idea throughout the entire post as long as it doesn’t become boring. Focus on the main idea and make it intriguing.
If you choose to include other ideas, make sure they are interrelated. Don’t lose your audience by going off track.
